Blue Angels To Honor Frontline COVID-19 First Responders With South Florida Flyover On Friday

On Friday, May 8th, the Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron’s Blue Angels will be performing a flyover South Florida in honor of COVID-19 first frontline responders.

The fly-over will begin over Boca Raton on Friday at 1:00PM. The Blue Angels will fly south through Broward County into Miami-Dade County making a loop over the City of Miami before continuing South towards Homestead before turning North over hospitals further west in the tri-county area. The Blue Angels official map can be found below and assures us that times are subject to change.

Please note, that residents are being asked to “observe the flyover from the safety of their home-quarantine and should refrain from traveling to see the flyover. Social distancing should be practiced at all times.”

The mission is part of a joint mission with the Air Force Thunderbirds dubbed Operation America Strong. It was devised by the service members who are part of both details in an attempt to show gratitude to frontline first responders. The teams have already conducted flyovers over several major metropolitan areas including New York City, Washington, DC, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Dallas.

  1. This is a waste of time & money. The military is using the pandemic as a recruitment tool.
Why can’t we just give all the frontline first responders our “PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS” like we did for the victims and families of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas massacre?
    Wake up people!
