In keeping with the measures to stay at home and slow the spread of COVID-19, Christ Journey Church will be hosting its Easter services online through its ChristJourney.tv platform. Christ Journey has been hosting church online in addition to its three physical campuses since 2013, and services are available for streaming on Facebook, YouTube, AppleTV, as well as their website.
Although celebrating Easter exclusively online presents a new challenge, the church has seen thousands more joining in worship services throughout the quarantine. To mark the celebration of Easter, the church has prepared a service to ignite hope and joy in all who join from within the city and around the world.
“We invite our neighbors and friends in Coral Gables and Miami to ‘Feel the Joy’ this Easter from the safety of their homes. In dark times like we face today, the hope we have in Jesus, the light of the world, is more visible than ever and we pray many find their hope in Jesus.” said Senior Pastor Bill White, who has shepherded the church for 25-years of its 94-year history.
Alongside the Easter worship services online, specialized content for kids and students will be made available each week. Ministries and small groups are continuing to meet via Zoom in creative ways, one such way is the student ministry, who will be hosting an interactive “Stations of the Cross” worship service for middle & high school students via Zoom on Good Friday.
