The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult for most of us. Limited contact with others, the inability to see and be with family and friends. It has been a difficult year.
Children in particular have felt the effects of social distancing.
The Coral Gables Community Recreation Department has worked hard to ensure that children throughout Coral Gables have felt the magic of holidays during the pandemic.
From personal visits from Santa to hop-ins from the Easter Bunny, children and adults alike have been touched by the great lengths they have gone through to ensure the pandemic was forgotten, even if for one day.
This past Saturday, the Easter Bunny hopped by the homes of children in Coral Gables bringing Easter baskets and the opportunity for quick photos with cheerful rabbit.
The happy cheers could be heard from blocks around.
