Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago and Miami-Dade County School Board Member Mari Tere Rojas have joined forces for a school supply drive to benefit students in need in our community.
The collection is of school supplies, including: pencils, paper, pens, markers, crayons, tape, glue, scissors, notebooks, binders, folders, erasers, calculators, highlighters, rulers, clorox wipes, staples, colored pencils, to name a few.
In a post on social media, Mayor Lago said the following: “To benefit Coral Gables students in need, my office, in conjunction with School Board Member Mari Tere Rojas is coordinating a School Supply Drive. Please consider donating items in bins at the designated locations from August 6-23.”
School Board Member Rojas also posted the following on social media: “Getting ready for another event to help the community. Join Mayor @Vince_Lago and me by donating during our school supply drive.”
The drive is taking place from now to August 23rd with donation sites at Coral Gables City Hall (405 Biltmore Way), the Adult Activity Center (2 Andalusia Avenue), the Police and Fire Headquarters (2151 Salzedo Street) and the War Memorial Youth Center (405 University Drive).
