The City of Coral Gables announced this week that the City’s historic Venetian Pool will officially reopen on Tuesday, September 15.
The City posted the following announcement on its social media accounts, “Get your sunscreen and swimsuit ready because your City of Coral Gables – Government favorite place is opening its doors again! The Venetian Pool is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 10:00 a.m. The pool will be operating at a reduced capacity. Tickets for admission must be purchased in advance. Guests must wear a face masks at all times when not in the water, and will be subject to a temperature screening test. For more information visit: playgables.com.”
Venetian Pool initially opened its doors in 1924 as Venetian Casino, as part of the amenities offered in the soon-to-be minted City of Coral Gables.
The pool has received several restorations over the years and is the largest fresh water pool in the United States.
In 1981, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
The pool will be open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
Hello
do we have to call to make an appointment to go? or is there a charge to visit this pool?

I am so great full for this swimming pool and very excited about going back for swimming
Just one simple question – WHY?
It will be just like a bar or a restaurant. A crowd of people who will not wear masks. When you are in the water and swimming and breathing harder than you normally would or you are yelling and screaming because you are having fun, how are you going to prevent spread. Then you have kids working the pool, who in the best of times have a hard time managing the crowd. You are going to need a more seasoned, experienced work crew to pull this off.
