Virtual Graduation Set For Coral Gables Senior High, As School Renovations Continue

The adaptation to COVID-19 has had severe impacts on schools throughout the world. Students in Miami-Dade County have been distance learning for the better part of two months.

This week, Miami-Dade County Public Schools officially announced its Virtual Graduation schedule. Coral Gables Senior High School will celebrate its Virtual Graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 9th at 11:00AM.

The ceremony will be carried live on classof2020.dadeschools.net and can also be seen on WLRN Channel 17.

As mentioned by School Board Member Mari Tere Rojas in last week’s Virtual Leaders & Coffee, the district has also designated May 20th as Class of 2020 Day and family and friends are encouraged to take to social media to honor this year’s graduating class.

Gables High also took to Twitter this week to give a sneak peek to the progress on the renovation. The school posted the following on its official Twitter account, along with the pictures below: “Sneak peek at the current construction progress.. we can’t wait to see the final product! Go Cavs!”
