Coral Gables Ranked Second Best Place To Live In Florida

As residents of Coral Gables, we know better than anyone that this is one of the top places to live in Florida.

Last year, the YouTube channel, Around the World, which ranks best places to live in different states and countries selected Coral Gables second best place to live in Florida. Miami took first place.

Coral Gables was ranked second for its low crime rate, selection of great schools and outdoor activities.

“If you want peace and quiet after a long day at work and school, Coral Gables is the best place for you. The city is a great place to raise a family. It has one of the lowest crime rates in the country. There are quite a few schools in the area that younger students can attend, and these include both private and public educational institutions. The city is also home to many golf courses and parks making it a great place to live in for those who love the outdoors.”

You can watch the episode HERE. (Coral Gables begins at 8:29).

  1. I am a resident for 25 years and I am sorry I dont beleive of that and I know Florida from North to South and East to West. The quality of life is 2 points of 10 for me. There is almost nothing to do in the City but the propaganda is always nice for the City Hall.
    Thank you.

  2. YES! Coral Gables is a great place to raise a family. I did! I live here since 1974 and raised three children who are noe parents and rasie my eight grands here as well. Though a big effort has been done lately building parks throughout the city as well as extending firehouses and police stations to more southern parts of the city I do believe the city is still lacking in landscaping and lightin as well as beautificstin od canals and water areas!!!!!

  3. Hi Ds I am one of those runners you see running in the Granda Golf course since the pandemic outsiders have storm into this amazing course to get out of their quarantine induced coma. Poor folks don’t know the rules of the park and so Make hard for us runners who do. In the same way not all drivers doing 50 on a 20-30 speed limit zic za around us all almost running me over are gables residents. Drivers need to slow down or find an alternate route like coral way or alahambra or bird to get to their destination at high speeds during the hours of 5 and 7 pm. This is the time most walkers bikers outsiders and dog walkers congregate at golf course loop. Let have some compassion for outsiders during this time just as I do for high speed drivers.

  4. I agree with the comment from Mr. Menendez! How is possible that a city that achieved it’s development mainly by people fleeing communism-socialism has a socialist mayor??? What a disgrace and what a danger!!!

  5. Miami is first and Coral Gables second??? Is it the City or Miami or Miami Dade County? Either way, it is ridiculous and it can’t be true. There something very wrong with that opinion.

  6. I agree. It would first if all the ridiculous people who ARE Not Biking would stay out of the bike lanes. And when the ridiculous people walk or run around the Grenada golf course, why do they have to do it 4 or 6 across so nobody can get around them.

  7. I was expecting for Coral Gables to be second to Palm Beach, Vero or perhaps Amelia Island but to Miami ?
Something is wrong with that ranking.
Wait until they find out that our Mayor Valdes Fauli was defending Karen Bass….., bottom 5 next ranking.
