Greater Miami Symphonic Band Presents 42nd Season Virtual Performance Grande Finale

The COVID-19 pandemic brought many changes to our lives in 2020 and 2021. However, many in our community worked to ensure we were able to find some joy in our lives.

In July of 2020, the Greater Miami Symphonic Band (GMSB) embraced technology and brought culture to our homes, when 31 members of the Band used their cell phones to record a virtual version of John Philip Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The moving performance was experienced by several thousand, as we sat in our homes and celebrated our nation’s birthday in isolation.

In this, their 42nd season, the Greater Miami Symphonic Band is presenting its 42nd Season “Virtual Performance Grande Finale” and it is free to the public!

The full slate of virtual performances is available for all to watch on the symphonic band’s website! There, you will find eight tiles representing the GMSB’s music selections, including their latest: “America, the Beautiful.”The 2020-2021 Concert Season is supported by the City of Coral Gables.

The Greater Miami Symphonic Band, a 501(C)3 org., has been providing the community with live performances (including education) since 1979. Due to the virus, GMSB cancelled its live 2020-2021 Concert Season and posted on Youtube several virtual performances.
