The City of Coral Gables will host the next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the City Hall parking lot (405 Biltmore Way). Residents can recycle old electronics, dispose of household hazardous waste in an environmentally friendly manner, and shred any sensitive documents safely and securely onsite. The process is quick and easy. Attendees pull into the parking lot in their vehicles and staff will unload the items. Everyone should be prepared to show proof of Coral Gables residency. Due to COVID-19 and to ensure the health and safety of all, there are strict guidelines in place. All attendees must stay in their vehicle at all times, no walk-ins permitted, no early or late drop-offs allowed (before 9 a.m. or after 12 p.m.). For more information, please visit www.coralgables.com/electronicrecycling or call 305-460-5008.
This event costs the City $37,500 to hold, following the latest RFP (Request for Proposal), which drove down the price Waste Management was charging the City for services.
