Major League Baseball Making Plans To Return

The Major League Baseball season was scheduled to begin on March 26th, but the season was halted in the middle of Spring Training. The question became, will there be a baseball season in 2020?

Last night, sources confirmed that Major League Baseball is working with health authorities on a plan that could bring a modified Major League Baseball season back in late May or early June, making it the first major sport to return.

The details of the plan are still being worked out, but the current discussions revolve around a season that begins in the Phoenix area of Arizona, where there are 10 stadiums currently used for spring training. Teams would play without fans in the stands, but games would be televised in an expanded schedule, giving fans throughout the country an opportunity to cheer for their favorite teams.

Details of the plan would revolve around health officials and government approval, as well as that of Major League owners and the Players’ Union. But the possibility of sports returning, even if in a modified format, would be welcome news.
