At approximately 4:00pm, Coral Gables Fire Chief Marcos De La Rosa gave an update on Tropical Storm Dorian at the regularly scheduled city commission meeting. De La Rosa is urging residents to use this Friday as a benchmark for preparation, telling residents if they need to cut trees to do so by Friday. The Chief said they are monitoring the storm and taking initial steps for preparation.
“We’re looking at a potential storm impact if it where to hit South Florida [to be] Saturday or Sunday” said De La Rosa.
Gables Insider has reached out to the City for more information and will share it as soon as it becomes available.
