On Friday, November 22nd, members of the Coral Gables Fire Department, the Mayor, City Commissioners and members of the Community participated in the fire department’s Push-in ceremony for its newly acquired Fire Engine 1 and Fire Rescue 4.
The push-in ceremony is a firefighter tradition to inaugurate new apparatus. The tradition dates back to the days of horse-drawn hose carts and involves fire department personnel and members of the community pushing the apparatus into the fire station.
The new units feature state of the art equipment and will play an essential role in future emergency situations.
