Following violence in downtown Miami on Saturday night, Mayor Raul Valdes-Fauli placed Coral Gables under curfew on Sunday evening. That curfew has now been lifted.
Protests have continued throughout the country in response to the brutal death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police officers last week.
Although protests in major cities like New York and Washington have seen violence, in South Florida, these protests have remained peaceful.
Residents remain under Miami-Dade County’s curfew, which was changed to run from midnight to 6:00AM.
